ABOUT ME

Hello and welcome!

Are you feeling frustrated or maybe even scared about where your marriage is heading? Do you personally strugggle with anxiety or depression? Is motherhood a lot harder on you than you ever thought possible? Do you just want to feel better and meet with someone who will really understand where you are coming from? Do you want to learn real, helpful, and practical skills that will improve your wellness and enrich your relationships?

My name is Paige and I am the owner of Joyful Nest Counseling & Consulting, PLLC

I’m here to tell you that it is possible to release these burdens and feel a new sense of confidence, contentment, and purpose. I’ve seen women  and marriages transform and THRIVE.

I’ve been a wife for 15 years and I’m a mom of four. I know from experience how complicated the journey can be. Past clients and collegues have described me as genuine, compassionate, understanding, honest, patient, skillful, insightful, disarming, safe, trustworthy, caring, and competent. You can expect nothing but kindness and respect from me as your provider, someone who will really listen and seek to understand who you are, where you are at, where you would like to go, and a plan for how we will get there. My goal is client satisfaction through the entire therapeutic process.

What are my credentials?

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the States of IL (license # 149.023677) and KY (license # 253973). I’m a Certified Family Trauma Professional through the International Association of Trauma Professionals. I’m also trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) for treating simple and complex trauma from The EMDR Institute. I have been Level 1 trained from the Gottman Institute to help couples find hope and healing within their marriages. Finally, I have specialized training from Postpartum Support International (PSI) in perinatal/maternal mental health, including pregnancy loss, infertility, postpartum depression and anxiety, and traumatic birth experiences.

I have 12 years of clinical experience. I have served as a counselor, case manager, co-founder and developer of a community mental health program, and clinical supervisor over clinical staff before opening my own private practice. I’m also a published author of a few articles, blogs, and a therapeutic children’s book called, “Hope After Covid: Overcoming Anxiety, Anger, and Worry.”

If you feel I might be a good fit for you, please send me an email at paigechristian@joyfulnestcounseling.com and we can chat! I offer free consultations to make sure the fit is right because your wellness is important and that’s my priority.

I look forward to meeting you,

Paige
